Frequently asked questions

Using the sheets

8 questions
How much do I use per wash?

Half a sheet per regular load. Every sheet tears in half, and half a sheet is one full dose. Use a whole sheet for a large or heavily soiled load. Put it straight into the empty drum before you load your washing, not into the detergent drawer.

Do I need to tear the sheets?

Yes. Each sheet is made to be torn in half, and half a sheet is one dose for a regular load. Use a whole sheet for a large or heavily soiled load, or if you are in a very hard water area.

Where does the sheet go?

Into the drum, underneath your clothes. Not in the drawer. The drawer is designed for liquid and powder, and a sheet can get stuck there.

Do they work in a cold wash?

Yes. Add it to the empty drum first so it has the full cycle to dissolve. On a very short or very cold cycle, give it a moment by starting the machine before you pile the clothes in.

Will they work in my machine?

Yes, in front loaders and top loaders, including high-efficiency machines. They are low-suds, which suits H.E. drums.

How many washes is a box?

A box holds 30 sheets. Each one tears in half into two doses, so that is 60 regular loads.

Can I use them with a colour catcher?

Yes. Colour catcher sheets work alongside ours as normal.

Do I still need fabric conditioner?

That is up to you. Our sheets are detergent only, so if you like the softness or scent of a conditioner, carry on using yours as you normally would.

The product

4 questions
What is the scent?

Fresh Linen. A clean, classic laundry scent rather than anything sweet or perfumed.

What is in them?

The full ingredient list is printed on the box, so you can read it before you buy and check it against anything you avoid.

What is the packaging made of?

A recyclable card drawer box. No plastic jug, no measuring cap, and nothing to rinse out before recycling.

Can I use them on towels, gym kit or delicates?

They are a standard detergent, so use them as you would any other. For anything precious or labelled hand wash only, follow the care label and test on a single item first.
