How it works.

A hand holding a single Sunday Club laundry sheet
Step One

Place your dose at the bottom of an empty drum.

½ small · 1 regular · 2 large or stained

Placing a laundry sheet into the washing machine drum
Step Two

Add your laundry on top. The sheet activates as the drum fills.

A stack of freshly washed folded laundry
Step Three

Run a normal wash. Hot or cold, it dissolves completely.

Dosage guide

Sheets tear in half, so you can dose down for a smaller wash.

  • ½ sheet Small load
  • 1 sheet Regular load
  • 2 sheets Large or stained load

In a very hard water area, step up a size. Never use less than half a sheet: under-dosing is the most common reason any detergent underperforms.

For a stubborn stain: tear off a small corner of a sheet, wet it slightly and rub it straight into the mark before you wash. Then put the rest of your dose in the drum as normal.

I've never used laundry sheets before but had heard great thing about The Sunday Club and decided to give them a try. They smell super clean and refreshing and make my little laundry nook smell beautiful. I'm yet to try them on larger loads but so far I'm love these!

Absolutely love them! My husband has really sensitive skin and a lot of laundry products flare up his eczema, however these don't! The smell is long lasting and my washing comes out smelling beautifully & soft! A massive bonus that they're eco friendly too!

I came across this brand off my friend, her daughter has really bad eczema and she said it reduced her flare ups as there's no harsh chemicals and it's made to be gentle on the skin. I've been using it for the past couple of weeks and it has changed the way i've done my laundry! I only have to throw one or two sheets in and it leaves my clothes clean, soft and smelling fresh. Not only that but it's eco friendly, everything dissolves or can be recycled!!

What is inside a Sunday Club laundry detergent sheet: concentrated laundry detergent containing cleaning agents to lift dirt and oils, a water softener to help in hard water, protease enzyme to break down protein stains, and a perfumer-developed Fresh Linen fragrance.

What's inside,
and what each part does.

The working parts of every sheet, and the job each one does. The full ingredient list is printed on the pack, and linked below.

Cleaning agents
Coconut- and sugar-derived surfactants, in the mix to lift dirt and oils out of the fabric.
Water softeners
Sodium citrate softens hard water so the wash works properly, and a little silicone oil keeps foam under control and fabrics soft.
Stain-digesting enzymes
Protease enzymes break down everyday protein stains: food, sweat, the kids.
A proper fragrance
Perfumer-developed, with the full ingredient list printed on the pack.
The dissolvable sheet
A water-soluble film turns the detergent into a no-mess, pre-measured sheet that dissolves completely in the wash.

Questions, answered

Laundry detergent sheets, answered.

How many washes does one sheet do?

One regular load, or two small ones. Half a sheet does a small load, one sheet does a regular load, and two sheets do a large or stained load. A box of 60 sheets is 60 regular washes, or up to 120 if every load is a small one.

How do I use a laundry detergent sheet?

Put your sheet into the empty drum first, load your washing on top of it, then run your normal cycle. One sheet for a regular load, half for a small one, two for a large or stained load. It goes in the drum, never in the detergent drawer, because the drawer needs flowing water to clear a solid.

Do I need to tear the sheets in half?

Only for a small load. The sheets are made to tear in half, so half a sheet doses a small wash. A regular load takes one whole sheet and a large or stained load takes two. Washing small loads is how a box stretches past 60 washes.

Do they work in cold water?

Yes. The sheets dissolve and clean in cold, warm and hot cycles. If you wash cold and your machine has a short cycle, give the drum a moment before loading so the sheet sits flat rather than folded under the washing.

Do they work in a top loader?

Yes, in front loaders and top loaders. In a top loader, put your sheet in the bottom of the drum before the clothes so it is in the water from the start.

Will they work in a hard water area?

Yes, though very hard water means stepping up a size: two sheets for a full load rather than one. The formula includes a citrate softener, which helps, but hard water reduces the effectiveness of every detergent, not just ours.

Are they suitable for sensitive skin?

Our sheets are a concentrated detergent, so treat them like any other laundry product: keep them out of reach of children, and do not handle them with broken skin. The full ingredient list is printed on the box. If anyone in your household has a known skin condition or fragrance sensitivity, check the ingredients first or speak to your GP.

What is in the formula?

The full list, with approximate percentages: SLS ~22%, cocamidopropyl betaine ~8%, alcohol ethoxylate ~8%, alpha-olefin sulfonate ~7%, APG (alkyl polyglucoside) ~4%, silicone oil ~3%, fragrance ~1.5%, plus sodium citrate, protease enzyme and PVA film. Not in it: optical brighteners, dyes, parabens, phosphonates, DEA or bleach. The same list is printed on every box.

What does Fresh Linen smell like?

Cotton, white florals and clean musk. It is a perfumer-developed scent, designed to last through drying without overpowering the room. Fresh Linen is currently our only scent.

What is the packaging and how do I recycle it?

A recyclable card drawer box. There is no plastic jug, no measuring cap and nothing to rinse out. Flatten the box and put it in your household paper and card recycling.

What pack sizes do you sell?

Three: one box, two boxes or three boxes, all Fresh Linen. Each box is 60 sheets, so 60 regular washes. The bigger the pack the lower the price per wash, and the 3 box pack comes with free delivery.

How often does a subscription arrive?

Every 4 weeks, whichever pack you choose. You can skip, pause or cancel at any time.

How much is delivery and how long does it take?

Express delivery is free on the 3 box pack and arrives in 1 to 2 working days. The 1 and 2 box packs are £2.99, also 1 to 2 working days. We deliver to mainland UK addresses only.

What if I change my mind?

You have 14 days from delivery to tell us you want to cancel, then 14 days to send the goods back. We also offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on top of your statutory rights. Email support@thesundayclub.store and we will sort it.
